Round and Round & Old friends

I recently created a quilt for a childhood friend who has had a difficult year to say the least.  I chose the round and round quilt pattern from Camille Roskelley.  There is a lot of piecing for this one, but worth it in the end!

I did use this pattern before for another quilt in different colors.  The picture below is round and round using Camille Roskelley's fabric.  Looks like I should start using my good Nikon and take some brighter photos of all my work....better lighting as well.  Note to self....

Windows on the water

This is a Friday finish featuring Modern Meadow by fabric designer Joel Dewberry.  It feels good to get this one bound and washed as it was a WIP for quite some time.  I love these colors and this fabric collection.  It would be a perfect addition to   a nursery for either a boy or girl.  This one will be listed in my shop!

Harbor views...

This is a new finished lap quilt!  Off to the harbor to take some pics!

Here is the back... nice and simple so you can see the quilting.

My models had a tough time with the wind, but lots of fun overlooking Wychmere harbor.

Great night in July to take some quick photos before the sun set!
Quilt is listed in my etsy shop now.

Drinks at Chatham Bars Inn

If your looking for "Old Cape Cod, " look no further than Chatham.  The Chatham Bars Inn is a stunning place to visit, even for a drink.  You can sit out and admire the views while enjoying light apps and drinks.  No need to dress up, but if you like fine dining, their formal dining is the place to go.

This is a gorgeous place that overlooks the ocean.  A must see if you're on the Cape.

I sea stars!

This is a newly finished quilt featuring Out to Sea by Sarah Jane and Emily Herrick "Going Coastal"
fabric.  I've machine quilted the negative space echoing the chevron pattern throughout allowing the
grey starfish fabric to pop!

This quilt has been a work in progress for months.   Other projects kept getting in the way, but I'm glad I waited to buy the Out to Sea fabric in baby pink Narwhal's.  It's light weight and super soft to cuddle in.  It is a perfect compliment to the grey starfish from the Going Coastal collection.
This will be posted in my etsy shop soon!
Perfect for a baby girl's nursery.
