Starfish zipper tote!

Hi, 
Just a quick Friday finish to add to Needle and Thread Thursday Time/NTT of a zipper bag made from a pattern from this blog, http://www.noodle-head.com/....
This was an easy pattern to follow and came together quite quickly.... I love the two fabrics together along with the wide open structure of the bag.  I think this would be a great addition to any summer beach bag for "girly" necessities... 
I will definitely return to this pattern to try other sizes as well.

Memorial Day Sails

Finally added a border to this, but not thrilled with the way it came  out.... 

Correction... removed binding and hand sewed this to finish....

Also, lighting terrible for this photo...

need to get outside for this finish.

I always struggle with the binding.  I've used the machine to attach the binding, but it always comes out neater by hand-sewing the binding to finish.  Also, not thrilled with my corners this time.

This quilt is based on this tutorial/pattern from Laura Potts I found in a Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine, issue #6.

I might get out my stitch ripper and redo the binding... but not tonight.  I'm happy to have a "finish" for now.

All done... new binding attached and love it now!
